trying to understand that impossible creation ... women !

Many a wise man has tried, am told even God failed with the Goddess he made for himself ! The Creator created woman when he was completely & totally bored - he had created all the animals, he had made his perfect specimen - MAN; he now felt jus a tad playful, & thot .. let me make it difficult for my perfect specimen & bring him a companion, a complete bundle of contradictions & a heap of confusion ... called WOMAN !! He wanted to see how MAN would handle this challenge.
Dont get me wrong .. i love women, they are the perennial source of amusement & entertainment in this otherwise mechanical life. I have had the good fortune of knowing (did i say knowing !!??) .. err being acquainted with several wonderful women in the past many years. Yet, alas, I cannot claim to understand them one bit. Often I wonder if they even know themselves ? Have been re-assured by some of the women I asked - yes they do know themselves !! Am glad, else God would ve been held guilty of letting zillions of loose cannons roam the earth - dangerous !
The first & foremost thing about a woman - & this has been re-inforced by 10 yrs of personal experience (jokes aside) - a woman is never ever wrong. In an odd moment of graciousness, which may typically occur AFTER you have apologised for a mistake you never committed, she will be contrite. But such moments are RARE.
YOU are expected to UNDERSTAND why she says or does what she does -> there is ALWAYS a reason. YOU have to TRUST her blind. SHE doesnt ever feel obliged to EARN that trust. SHE doesnt ever need to EXPLAIN herself. Do the same rules hold for you ? No way .. dont even think of it !!
A few recent examples of some interesting women I ve known in recent times ... one each in the next few blogs.
a) 'P' is all over you. You are quite over the moon, cos you enjoy her company immensely, she seems to be totally into you, & she's got stars in her eyes (twinkle twinkle). You are still makin yourself comfortable on Cloud 9, when she innocently drops a lil bomb ... oh I am goin on this wonderful trip to ABC with this old fren (guys are ALWAYS old frens), u think u cud come along ? (knowin fully well of course that you cannot !). As a thousand thots cloud your mind, (& of course bein a guy, you would never be able to say it directly), you begin to drop subtle hints about your discomfort. INDIGNATION follows - you dont trust me !? he is a FRIEND !! he has helped me in the past, he is from NZ, & he KNOWS nobody here (& I am into social service !!), so I have to take him. He has spoken with my mom as well & convinced them that I should go along (isnt that ORIGINAL !!?). You resign yourself to yet another woman who either thinks you are a COMPLETE idiot, or a COMPLETE fool (thats all the choice you get). And before you know it, she is all geared up to host her old friend & in a last attempt at piety .. she says ... hey I am throwing a dinner, since you are in town as well that evening, why dont you join us. Cometh the day, you know intuitively that the dinner wont happen .. & lo & behold, the guest is too tired after his journey .. & the dinner is cancelled. By the way where is he putting up ? Oh .. in my place of course - have an early morning flight to catch !! AND DONT YOU DARE THINK OF ANYTHING THAT IS PRESUMPTUOUS !! Of course I wont honey ... just tell me where is he sleeping in a 1-bed apartment ? In the kitchen ??? :-)

Welcoming thyself all over again ...

A habit long lost ... so much so that its remnant traces cant be found - i seek to re-ignite. And like all true loners, I invite thyself back to the magical world of blogging & living !! The Other Twin is my Gemini alter-ego, & more often than not, he has a lot more to say than I do. So I dedicate this post to ToT & let him take it away ...
